Dr. Zainab Najarali
Dr. Zainab Najarali is a full-time Emergency Medicine physician practicing in the Greater Toronto Area and a Family Medicine–trained physician in Canada, with extensive experience in virtual care delivery, clinical governance, and digital prescribing. She serves as Lead Prescriber for HeliosX in Canada, where she provides medical oversight for scalable, evidence-based prescribing across multiple digital health platforms. In addition to her role at HeliosX, Dr. Najarali also operates a women’s health practice focused on menopause management and hormone therapy. She is an Assistant Professor at McMaster University, and is actively involved in medical education, and digital health innovation, with a particular interest in expanding access to evidence-based metabolic and women’s health care through responsible use of technology.

Roger Firsoff, NP
Roger Firsoff is a Primary Care Nurse Practitioner with 24 years of experience in primary and urgent care, emergency medicine, occupational health, and addictions and mental health. He has a particular focus in men’s health, including sexual health, hair loss, and testosterone therapy. A graduate of Ryerson University and the University of Toronto, he holds both Primary Care and Adult Nurse Practitioner specialties. Roger has instructed and supervised Nurse Practitioner students at York University and Ryerson University for the past 15 years, is affiliated with Athabasca University, and holds Nurse Practitioner registration in multiple Canadian provinces.

Karlie DeAngelis, NP
Karlie DeAngelis, NP is a Nurse Practitioner licensed across Ontario, British Columbia, Alberta, and additional Canadian provinces, with a background in advanced cardiovascular care, critical care, migraine, and mental health management. She specializes in evidence-based metabolic and weight management care. She serves as a Prescriber with HeliosX in Canada, and supports safe, evidence-based care within established clinical governance frameworks. Outside of her work with HeliosX, Karlie practices in mid-life women’s health and menopause care. She holds specialty certification in Canadian Cardiovascular Nursing and is a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner (MSCP). Karlie is a Lecturer at the University of Toronto Bloomberg Faculty of Nursing and has previously taught at Conestoga College and Humber College. Her published research includes work on high-functioning teams in critical care and paediatric end-of-life care.

No, at MedExpress you can reorder your treatment as you need it. There's no ongoing contract or hidden fees, and you're always in control.
One of our licensed clinicians will review your consultation to make sure the treatment is suitable and safe for you. This also gives them a chance to ask you for any extra information they might need to make a decision. Once a prescription is issued, we'll deliver your medication directly to you.
Our clinicians normally review orders within 24 hours. It may take longer if they need more information from you before they can safely issue a prescription.
Our partner pharmacy aims to ship within 1 to 3 working days across Alberta, British Columbia and Ontario. Some treatments, such as weight loss medication, may require additional safety checks prior to authorization. The delivery time only begins once your treatment has been authorized and dispatched, not from the time you place your order.
The shipping options may vary between provinces and is managed by our partner pharmacy. To simplify this for you, shipping is free for all of our customers.
To dispatch your order, our clinicians first need to approve and issue a prescription. If done by 3pm EST Monday to Thursday, we can dispatch your medication on the same day. Anything approved after that will be dispatched the following Monday.
When you can reorder depends on which recommended treatment you have chosen.
We will email you with a reminder as soon as it’s time to order your next dose, so your treatment can progress smoothly and hassle-free.
You can pay using Apple Pay, Google Pay, and all major credit and debit cards (including American Express, Visa, and Mastercard}.
We charge a program fee alongside the treatment costs. It covers:
- a review of your consultation from one of our licensed Canadian clinicians to make sure the treatment is safe and effective for you
- issuing your prescription
- ongoing support and guidance from our customer support and clinical teams throughout your treatment
If we can't issue a prescription for medical reasons, both your program and treatment costs will be fully refunded.
At this time, MedExpress does not offer insurance coverage or rebates on prescription medications. We’re reviewing future options, but currently prescription medications are paid by the patient.
